Goal completion and blocker tracking
What does it do?
Goal and blocker tracking is an analytics feature unique to ScrumGenius — it provides an easy way to see if your team have been achieving their goals on a day-to-day basis, as well as discover & deal with any common obstacles impeding progress.
When you enable goal & blocker tracking, the ScrumGenius bot resurfaces your team members' standup entries from the previous day:
This allows your team members to give more context about their day-to-day progress — and team leads to gain a bird's eye view of the team's progress towards key project milestones.
The information gathered from goal & blocker tracking, such as goal completion rate and blocker counts, is presented in a multitude of ways within the ScrumGenius app.
View the data for different reports in the Reports tab, click on team members in the Dashboard to understand each member's workflow more thoroughly.
Or, to view everything all at once, use our powerful Insights search and filtering capabilities. For instance, you can filter for updates that have been checked-in (completed), not checked in (missing), where a goal has been completed, or where a blocker has been reported.
How do I enable this?
Goal tracking can be enabled in your report configuration by ensuring enable goals and blockers tracking is checked. Locate it by clicking through Reports > Edit Report > Questions.
One last tip: When goal tracking is enabled, there must be 3 report questions in this format to ensure seamless data collection:
- Question 1: What have you been working on since our last check-in?
- Question 2: What are you working on today?
- Question 3: Do you have any blockers?
